I want to be a doctor. Here at Kfar Silver, I have the opportunity to study advanced biology and chemistry, which will give me a strong foundation for medical school.

I live in Netivot, thirty minutes away from Kfar Silver. I came here because my best friend starting attending Kfar Silver, and I wanted to be in the same school as my friend. I moved here because of my friend, but actually, it was the best decision I made. In Netivot, I attended a school with few resources and even fewer opportunities for me, so I knew I needed to look for a new school. At home, the level of educational opportunities are low, and the science classes offered are remedial.

I want to be a doctor. Here at Kfar Silver, I have the opportunity to take the medicine track and study advanced biology and chemistry, which will give me a strong foundation for medical school. We get to learn about microbiology, anatomy and diseases. I actually love learning about diseases because one day I want to be able to prevent disease from spreading.

I am so happy to be at a school with wide-open spaces, instead of attending school in a small building that is all fenced in. The teachers are also very helpful here. Last year, my homeroom teacher Marcelo made a big impact on me. The door to his office was always open, and he was always ready to listen when I needed help.

I have a group of very close friends here and we always celebrate holidays together. I love celebrating Purim here. Last year we had a Purim Prom here and it was so much fun. It was a big party and everyone had a great time together, dressing up in costumes and dancing together.

Kfar Silver has had a positive impact on me because I have met so many new people that I would never have had the chance to meet in my old school back home. I have learned about many new cultures since I have been here, and I have made friends from around the world. My family moved to Israel from Russia, but I was born here in Israel. It has been really nice to meet people from my culture who have made Aliyah from Russia and be able to learn from them. Everyone here is unique and we learn from each other’s differences every single day.
