Midwest Region

ORT has been an integral part of the Midwest’s Jewish philanthropic landscape for more than 60 years, beginning as the Ohio Region and now expanding to include communities throughout the broader region, including Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Michigan (outside of Detroit). From its historic roots in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Toledo, and Columbus, ORT Midwest brings together dedicated leaders and supporters across multiple states to serve as a united voice in Jewish philanthropy in support of ORT’s global mission.

The Midwest Region raises funds to support the World ORT global network of schools and programs with its annual campaign and fundraising events: the Jurisprudence Dinner and the Annual ORT Brunch.

The Midwest Region is the proud home of ORT America’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Michael Perlmuter, past president Larry Kadis, and national Board members Mark Adler, Suellen Kadis, Jon Levine, and Greg Marcus.

If you’d like to learn more about how you can get involved, please contact Rob Platt, Midwest Region Director, at rplatt@ortamerica.org.

How You Can Help Support ORT. Together We Create Impact through Education.

Education is key to advancement. Yet for underserved students worldwide, educational opportunities and hope for a better life do not readily present themselves. ORT changes that. Our supporters understand the role education plays in transforming one’s life, and how ORT programs make a difference. Through education, we enrich the lives of over 200,000 beneficiaries across the globe and make the world a better place.
