Michigan: Get Involved & Volunteer

Each year, in addition to its annual campaign, the ORT Michigan region holds four annual fundraising events – WINGO, ORT and the City, Rub-a-Dub, and Camp Hermelin – to raise funds in support of ORT’s global network of schools and programs. You can get involved by joining ORT Michigan’s Board of Directors or by serving on one of its event planning committees. There are also numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year, in addition to opportunities for tweens and teenagers to earn community service or Mitzvah hours.

ORT Michigan also participates in various community programs, including the Jewish Film Festival, Jewish Bookfair, and Bookstock, and the Glen/Oak/South Chapter conducts its own social and fundraising events to contribute to ORT Michigan’s campaign efforts. ORT Michigan is lucky to have the David B. Hermelin ORT Resource Center located around the corner inside the West Bloomfield JCC – a wonderful, local example of how ORT changes lives through education and technology training.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact Nicole Miller at 248.723.8860.
