What Information We Collect and How We Use It
Online and offline, donors may be asked to provide their name, email address, postal address, interests, and other information. If you provide your postal address, telephone number or e-mail address to ORT America, you may receive periodic communications from us.
We may request, but will not store, sensitive information, such as credit card numbers.
Internet Protocol Address
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our website, to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our website, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Sharing Information with Others
ORT America will never rent, trade or sell your e-mail address. However, we may on occasion share your name and postal address with our service providers and with other organizations we believe you may have an interest in supporting, unless you opt-out. If you would prefer that your name and postal address not be shared with others, simply send us a request via e-mail to info@ORTamerica.org.
ORT America sends a biweekly enewsletter and periodic direct email communications to ORT America site visitors to highlight news, information and opportunities available from ORT America. In addition, all ORT America e-newsletters have easy-to-follow unsubscribe instructions.
All information provided to ORT America is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our website that is only accessible by certain qualified employees of ORT America.
We have been empowering people and strengthening communities since 1880. Your support makes our vital work possible.
