The unique studying methods at Kfar Silver have made a huge difference in my education. It is not about grades. It is about loving learning—and I love to learn here.
My family is a big part of my life. My father studied here and graduated from Kfar Silver. Growing up he shared many amazing stories about being a student at Kfar Silver.
At my last school, I was bullied repeatedly. Having no friends was terrible for me. I wanted to move to a school where I could make friends and feel safe among my classmates. I also wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps because of the high level learning opportunities and all of the extra-curricular options Kfar Silver has—including the farm. My father worked on the cow farm, and I wanted to do that too.
Being at Kfar Silver is the best thing for me. One day a week, I work with the cows and I love taking care of the younger calves. It teaches me that hard work pays off. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get good grades, so it feels good to take my worries and stress that I have and spend my energy with the cows. It is a rewarding experience to take care of loving animals.
I love studying science. I want to be what my father did not succeed to do—become a doctor. I want to help people and save lives, so I am starting to build the foundation for that here at Kfar Silver. Next year I will begin studying the medicine track, and in just a few weeks, I will learn emergency medical volunteer skills.
My favorite part of school is being a part of Model UN and the debate team. It has really improved my English and it gave me the chance to compete and meet new people from all over Israel and all over the world.
For me, the unique studying methods I have at Kfar Silver have made a huge difference in my education. We are given a lesson from a university course that we study at home, and when we come back to class, my teacher Raheli gives us a supplemental lesson that builds on what we learned at home. Then we take part in games to interpret and understand the lesson. It is an incredible way to learn. At Kfar Silver, it is not about grades, the emphasis is on enjoying learning—and I love learning here.
