Melissa Isaacson is an award-winning journalist and author, named among the 20 “Most Influential Women in Chicago sports media” by the Chicago Tribune in 2022.
Her book, “State: A Team, A Triumph, A Transformation,” recounts her experience on her 1979 state championship-winning basketball team at Niles West in Skokie, and the transformational journey that occurred shortly after the passage of Title IX.
