Building your Cybersecurity Toolkit
Keeping Safe in an Online World
In today’s digital world, cybercrime is increasing. This course is an opportunity for students to learn about cybersecurity and how to keep themselves and their families safe online.
ORT is pleased to offer an interactive session free of charge – geared towards students in grades 6-9 – to be facilitated via livestream by our World ORT Kadima Mada team in Israel.
Students learn the basics of cybersecurity including:
- Cracking passwords and encryption
- Virus protection
- Understanding common threats and how to identify them
- Receiving hands-on experience to fight cybercrime
The program will take place on Thursday, March 18, 2021
Two Sessions are Available:
8:00 am – 9:30 am ET or 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET
Guidelines for Schools
Schools are required to assign one designated project lead for recruitment and logistics. A link for individual student registration will be provided.
We have also invited students from Canada and Israel to join the program!
