The annual Camp Hermelin family fundraiser event was held on Sunday, September 8, 2019. Tug-of-War, s’mores, arts and crafts, sports and so many more camp favorites were available for kids ages toddler to tweens at Camp Hermelin – a day of camp fun on the grounds of Doreen Hermelin’s home in Bingham Farms. The day’s activities were led by directors and staff from local day and overnight camps and activity based business. Camp Hermelin attracts nearly 700 guests each year, representing families from all over Oakland County, many of which include 3-generations of family members as grandparents come “free” with each family package purchased.

The Suburban Collection served as the Presenting Sponsor of Camp Hermelin. Since parking is required at Temple Beth El, attendees had the opportunity to test drive various brands of Suburban Collection vehicles to and from the event.

In addition to the activities offered, there were 14 raffle winners with prizes of free and deeply discounted camp tuition donated by each participating camp. Along with the various camp raffles, the “Camper’s Choice Raffle” awarded the winner a $2,500 credit to be used towards any camp experience or organized group trip during the 2019-2020 school year or summer of 2020.

We look forward to seeing you next year at Camp Hermelin. Bring your kids, bring your grandchildren – this fun-filled day offers activities for every child whether or not they attend camp, and for those who do attend camp at one of the participating camps, an ideal opportunity to reunite with your camp friends and favorite counselors and directors.
