ORT America has just earned the highest rating possible, four stars, by Charity Navigator, the prestigious guide to charities in the U.S. This is an increase from two stars two years ago, and shows ORT America’s commitment to its donors to build on its financial wellbeing. This coveted distinction also attests to the ORT demonstration of “strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency,” according to Charity Navigator, which indicates that ORT “adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way” and “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities” in its area of focus.
Larry Kadis, the national president of the organization, said, “This accomplishment will enable us to do even more on behalf of the students of ORT” and Saul Berkowitz, a member of the ORT America national board of directors, called it “a milestone achievement.”
Of the organizations Charity Navigator rates, only about 25% achieve the 4-star status. We very much appreciate this designation and recognition of our work as a leader in education for the 21st century.
